An Update to Our Supporters
Thank you for being part of Ask Us About Us.
We want to share a clear and transparent update regarding the direction of this effort and the path forward.
We explored the option of running for Congress as an Independent in the 2026 midterm election. While that path reflected our values and intent, the Texas Secretary of State did not accept the Independent filing due to a statutory filing deadline. As a result, that specific route is not available for this midterm cycle.
Rather than walk away from the conversation or the issues that matter, we are moving forward with purpose.
We are actively preparing a third-party route as a lawful and constructive way to continue this effort in the 2026 midterm election, while also building the foundation for a strong and viable Independent run in 2028. Both paths are centered on the same principle: giving people a voice in decisions that affect their lives.
The book, Ask Us About Us: A Campaign for Correct Representation, is a key part of that effort. Book sales are not political contributions. They are used to help this message reach more people, build a platform for open dialogue, and support the groundwork required to organize responsibly, legally, and transparently.
In addition, we are preparing an audiobook edition of Ask Us About Us and launching a podcast to create an ongoing space for conversation. These platforms are intended to keep the dialogue going — to listen, to engage, and to hear directly from those who believe representation should start with asking the people themselves.
This is not about chasing labels or shortcuts. It is about strengthening Congress by restoring accountability, encouraging independent thinking, and creating space for voices that are too often spoken about—but not spoken with.
Whether through a third-party effort in this midterm or a future Independent run, our commitment remains the same:
-
To listen before legislating
-
To put people before politics
-
To strengthen Congress by strengthening representation
-
Thank you for your support, your patience, and your willingness to be part of something built on conversation rather than division.
More updates will follow as we continue this work.
